When you order a custom rack mount from Wilson Case, you will be able to add or remove the features you want from our standard cases or work with us to design a case from the ground up. Your imagination is the only limit when it comes to designing a custom case.
Our cases are built to last and come standard with heavy duty front and back rails, front and back removable lids with recessed security latches that can be padlocked, recessed hardware, 3.5” heavy duty casters, and two caster brakes. You can choose to add components such as panels, shelves, and drawers to better meet your shipping needs. You can also add the RamGuard, our trademarked metal plate that is mounted around the bottom perimeter of the case to prevent forklift damage, or our Turf Tires, which are designed to roll on any surface without going flat.
We also have a wide range of options when it comes to choosing an interior foam configuration and lining, mobility features, security measures, labeling, and miscellaneous accessories. If you’re not sure what features and dimensions are best for your equipment, give us a call and tell us what you need to transport in your rack mount. We’ll be happy to make a recommendation.
How We Make Custom Rackmount Cases
We know that when you’re custom-building protective cases for expensive electronics, precision matters. That’s why we use SolidWorks, a 3D CAD program that lets us design a detailed case model and then fabricate that case with accuracy down to the thousandths of an inch.
Before we design a 3D model, we spend some time getting to know our customer’s shipping container needs and pain points so that we can deliver an effective solution. Once our engineers have modeled the case based on the customer specifications, we send the model to our customers to review and approve. When we have their approval, we translate the file with the model to CNC computer control language, which allows us to cut the case materials on our machines. From there, our skilled workers build the case using proven construction techniques.
We stand by the quality of our work, which is why we offer a limited lifetime warranty on all of our fabricated cases. If you discover any defect caused by faulty workmanship or materials, we’ll repair the case and return it to you as expediently as possible and at no additional charge.
